MTS Apprenticeship

"And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others."
2 Timothy 2:2

This verse is at the heart of St Matthew's commitment to ministry training. Part of our mission of making disciples together involves entrusting the gospel message to those who will teach and lead disciple-making ministries into the future. St Matthew's is now coordinating our apprenticeships through the Ministry Training Strategy (MTS). This gives us access to a new range of training resources as well as making all financial giving towards our apprenticeships tax-deductible.

If you would like to give towards the raising up of future gospel workers at St Matthew's, contributions can be made by clicking the Ministry Training button below.

Ministry Apprentice (2022-2023)

"I am more and more convinced that Jesus is the greatest news that this world needs. I am incredibly thankful for God’s mercy and grace and I want to share the gospel with others, as well see others become fully mature in Christ. I want to equip myself further to grow in the service of Christ."

Lindsay Rhodes

Ministry Apprentice (2022-2023)

"I’m keen to be serving God and his people for a long time, and I think being well equipped and trained in ministry will be vital for that. More broadly, being involved in the work of making disciples is a huge privilege, and I want to be trained well in that work in order to honour God and honour that privilege."

Siena Smith

Ministry Apprentice (2022-2023)

"Through MTS, God has helped me to rejoice in my weakness and serve with the gifts He's given me for the glory of Jesus. In our weakness He is shown to be beautiful, glorious, strong, and abundantly gracious. I don't know what next year holds but I am convinced that I want to tell people about our loving, glorious saviour, Jesus Christ."
